Set in the stunning surroundings of the Argentine countryside, Polo Days give tourists the opportunity to learn more about the game, enjoy two lessons with a professional instructor and the opportunity to watch a real polo club members play in an adrenaline-fueled match.
No trip to Argentina is complete without experiencing the nation’s famous sport. Recognizing the importance of polo for visitors, Puesto Viejo Estancia and Polo Club offers Polo Holidays with our polo professional, Julio Casares.
Guests will attend a polo clinic to improve their polo skills.

Swimming: The luxurious 8 x 12 meter swimming pool boasts a two-sided infinity edge, which overlooks pitch 1 and the stick and ball ground. It also has a separate baby pool for toddlers to enjoy splashing around in their armbands.
Bird watching: Since 2003 Puesto Viejo Estancia has planted 5000 trees ranging from conifers, eucalyptus and willows and palo borrachos. Bird watchers may spot churrinches, chimangos or various types of owl, such as lechuza and caburé.
Bicycles: We have many bikes, including kid’s sizes for guests to enjoy cycling around the estancia for an unlimited amount of time. Take a cycle to the stables to warm up before jumping on a horse, or enjoy a cycle around the property taking in all the wonderful birdlife & fauna.
About Puesto Viejo
Puesto Viejo means the “original post” and was the name given to the old building where the most trusted gaucho lived. There he was responsible for looking after the extremities of the original estancia. Combining old, rustic charm with modern day comfort, the location and experience are truly authentic. The main part of the hotel was fully refurbished and extended over the winter of 2011.
